April Michelle Bowlby (born 30 July 1980) is an American actress best known for her recurring role as Alan Harper’s ditzy girlfriend (later wife, then ex-wife) Kandi on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Bowlby was born in Vallejo, California, and moved to Manteca, California, as a child. She studied ballet, French, and marine biology at Moorpark College before deciding to pursue an acting career. She studied drama with Ivana Chubbuck and secured a role in a major television series (Kandi in Two and a Half Men) within months of her first Hollywood audition.

April Bowlby was born in Vellejo, California and grew up in Manteca, California, home of the world famous Manteca waterslides. Unsure of what she wanted to do with her life, she briefly attended Moorpark College where she studied marine biology, French and ballet.

Bowlby decided to become an actress because a friend suggested it, and began studying acting with Ivanna Chubbuck. A few months later, she auditioned for a couple of lines in TWO AND A HALF MEN and secured the role of Kandi.

Bowlby has appeared on many TV series including CSI as “Kaitlin Rackish” in 2004, CSI: New York as “Jenny Lee” in 2005, Freddie as “Sydney” in 2005 and Stacked as “Jasmine” in 2005. April has an upcoming role in the movie Shadows of Atticus as “Natasha”, about a 12 year old girl who loses her mother in an automobile accident. April is currently single and resides in Los Angeles.
