The Incredible Hulk 2008 Film Wallpapers and Photos

The Incredible Hulk is a superhero film based on the Marvel comic of the same name, set for release on June 13, 2008.

It is directed by Louis Leterrier and stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, William Hurt as her father General Thaddeus Ross and Tim Roth as the villainous Emil Blonsky, known in the comics as the Abomination.

The film follows Banner as he flees the pursuit of General Ross and attempts a cure to rid himself of the Hulk. But when Blonsky injects himself with Banner’s gamma formula and becomes an even greater monster, Banner must accept his own inner beast and defeat Blonsky.

After the 2003 film Hulk, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the character, and writer Zak Penn began work on a loose sequel that would be closer to the comics and the television series. Norton rewrote the script after he signed on to star, severing ties to its predecessor by retelling the origin story in flashbacks and revelations.

Filming took place primarily in Toronto, Canada in 2007, and the film’s crew went to great lengths to reduce the production’s carbon emissions. Letterier’s direction aimed to make the monsters look more realistic and frightening. He redesigned the Abomination, who in the comics is a reptilian KGB agent, into a mutant soldier.

Scientist Bruce Banner desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows–cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross–Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross, and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power.

As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk’s creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination, whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk’s own. To stop it, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside–The Incredible Hulk.

The Grand 2008 Film Wallpapers and Reviews

The Grand is an improv comedy film written and directed by Zak Penn. The film has an ensemble cast including Ray Romano, Woody Harrelson, Chris Parnell, Werner Herzog, Jason Alexander, and Cheryl Hines.

The film’s style is similar to the films of Christopher Guest (Penn himself states this), where each actor is given direction concerning their character, and the actors are left to improvise each individual scene.

The plot of The Grand was somewhat more open-ended than Guest’s work, however. The focus of the film is a poker tournament played at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas between the characters in which real poker matches were played by the actors as the scenes were filmed.

The film’s script did not specify the winner of the tournament, and the ending of the film was determined by the actual game played on set.

The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The film opened in limited release in the United States on March 21, 2008 and will open in wider release on April 4, 2008.

Cast:

  • Julie Claire
  • David Cross
  • Shannon Elizabeth
  • Mike Epps
  • Woody Harrelson
