Leighton Marissa Claire Meester (born April 9, 1986 in Marco Island, Florida) is an American actress, best known for her role in the book-based TV show Gossip Girl. Meester became interested in acting when she appeared in a local production of The Wizard of Oz.

When she was 11, she moved with her family to New York City and soon after began working as a model with Wilhemina, booking a Ralph Lauren campaign shot by Bruce Webber and working with then-photographer Sofia Coppola.

Meester is best known as ‘Blair Waldorf from the new hit show Gossip girl on the CW 9/8 . Other roles include guest starring as “Debbie Pendleton” on Season 4 of the FOX drama 24, as “Ali” in episode 3 and 4 of Season 3 of the FOX drama House, as “Carrie Bishop” on Season 1 of the UPN drama Veronica Mars, not Chandler’s new girlfriend Kendall in Season 8 of the WB drama 7th Heaven, as well as the role of “Justine Chapin” in Season 1 of the HBO comedy Entourage.

Meester made her film debut in the feature Hangman’s Curse, based on the best-selling novel by Frank Peretti. She also recently starred in the independent film Flourish with future House co-stars Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer, and in the drama Inside. In 2006, she wrapped the female lead role in the comedy/horror film Drive-Thru. She has also recorded a song for the soundtrack of Drive-Thru. In Spring 2006, she played a part in the ensemble comedy/drama entitled The Beautiful Ordinary.

Meester’s upcoming feature films roles include the dramedy The Beautiful Ordinary and the thriller Dead of Night. She is co-starring as Blair Waldorf in The CW’s Gossip Girl, from Josh Schwartz, creator of The O.C. and based on the book series about the lives of New York’s two privileged Upper East Side girls. She has also recently guest starred on CSI: Miami and has a recurring role on James Woods’ court drama Shark.

When not on the set, Meester, who attended Beverly Hills High School, pursues her talent for music and creative writing. She currently resides in New York.

Meester’s height is 5′ 4″ (1.63 m). Leighton’s last name, Meester, is Dutch, and means “master” or “teacher”. Leighton moved to New York for three years with her mother when she (Leighton) was 11. Leighton has an older and younger brother.

Michelle Claire Ryan (born April 22, 1984) is a British actress. She was previously best known for portraying the role of Zoe Slater on the BBC1 British soap opera EastEnders. She now stars in the NBC television series Bionic Woman.

Michelle Ryan was born in Enfield, Greater London. A member of a local theatre group since she was 10, she was picked for her role in EastEnders when she was 15 and first appeared on the show in September 2000; for the part, she affected an East End cockney accent, rather than speaking her usual Received Pronunciation.

In 2005, she announced she was leaving EastEnders to concentrate on work in theatre and films. She has mused that her involvement with the show served as a dress rehearsal for working on Bionic Woman.

During summer 2005, Ryan appeared in a run of Who’s the Daddy? at the King’s Head Theatre. The play by Toby Young and Lloyd Evans is based on the David Blunkett paternity case.

Ryan auditioned to replace Billie Piper as the Doctor’s companion in Doctor Who; however, Freema Agyeman was ultimately chosen for the role. She had a small role in an episode of Marple which screened in February 2006, and also appeared in a small independent film the same year, Cashback.

In spring 2007, Ryan was seen as Maria in a new adaptation of Mansfield Park opposite Billie Piper for the ITV network and also as Lila in the film I Want Candy, co-starring Carmen Electra and Mackenzie Crook. In February 2007, an announcement was made saying she had been cast as the lead in the new drama pilot Bionic Woman.

The series began airing on the American network NBC in September 2007. Ryan affects an American accent for the role of Jaime Sommers, except in the episode “The Education of Jaime Sommers” in which her character goes under cover as an English exchange student at a university; for this episode, she uses her natural accent throughout. She has had professional dance training and attributes to it helping her with the physically demanding stunts required for the show.

On Red Nose Day 2007, Ryan appeared in a brand new Mr. Bean sketch written and recorded for Comic Relief. She will shortly be seen in Flick, a new Welsh independent film co-starring Faye Dunaway and Leslie Phillips.

In May 2007, Ryan revealed she auditioned for the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, eventually given to Eva Green the previous year.

Prior to Bionic Woman, she appeared in Jekyll for the BBC, a modern day version of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde starring James Nesbitt. It began its six-episode run on June 16, 2007 and was released on DVD in the United States on September 18, 2007, one week prior to her debut in Bionic Woman. Ryan has been among FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in 2002, 2004, 2005 (fourth, her highest ranking), and 2007.

Catherine Jane Sutherland (born October 24, 1974) is an Australian actress perhaps best known for playing Katherine “Kat” Hillard, the Pink Ranger on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from 1995-1997, joining the TV series in the third season.

She reprised the role in season four, Power Rangers: Zeo, and season five, Power Rangers: Turbo, and appeared in the movie that connected the two seasons. She has done voiceovers for various characters on Power Rangers since Katherine left the show; the most famous is the female Machine Empire General Tezzla in the Power Rangers: Wild Force episode “Forever Red”.

She played the onscreen victim of a deranged serial killer in the 2000 film The Cell. In the theatrical cut she appeared as only a dead body, although the DVD release contains deleted scenes of her before her character’s death.

She got the role in the movie by appearing on the Australian reality show Dream Factory. Catherine is currently working as a personal fitness trainer and has one child. In 2004, Catherine Sutherland had a brief role as Sarah Price, the wife of a murder victim on an episode of America’s Most Wanted.

Anne Marie Vicksey (Catherine Sutherland) is one of the early victims of Carl Stargher: she is first seen when her corpse is being lifted from a bath of bleach though she is later seen on Stargher’s video drowning in the Cell.

Besides the non-existent part and the makeup, she also had to endure having her face covered in live flies for the scene where her corpse is found. Michelle Burke was responsible for this bleached corpse makeup.

America Ferrera Ugly Betty

America Georgine Ferrera (born April 18, 1984) is an American actress. She is best known for her Golden Globe-, Screen Actors Guild-, and Emmy Award-winning role as Betty Suarez on the ABC television comedy-drama series Ugly Betty and for her roles in the films Real Women Have Curves and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Never content with playing a pregnant teen or the daughter of a gang-banger, actress America Ferrera has been fortunate enough to obtain meatier roles that have won her plenty of good notices in her brief career. Her obvious talent was apparent in her first feature, “Real Women Have Curves” (2001), a role she got with little onscreen experience and only after a long audition process. But director Patricia Cardoso saw in Ferrera intelligence and maturity – important qualities that earned the young actress her first leading role and helped make her a rapidly rising star.

Born on Apr. 18, 1984 and reared in Woodland Hills, California, Ferrera’s parents emigrated to the United States from Honduras in the mid-1970’s. Later, her mom divorced her father and raised six kids – five girls, one boy – while stressing the importance of higher education. All six graduated from college – Ferrera earned her degree in International Relations from the University of California, though she pursued acting throughout.

From the time she was seven years old, when she landed a small role in a school production of Hamlet, Ferrera knew that she wanted to be a performer. She acted in school plays and community theater in Los Angeles throughout her youth, but with little help from her mom, who insisted that she pursue other interests. Not that her mother doubted her talent – far from it – but she was concerned whether or not her daughter would get a fair shake. Ferrera was forced to take the bus to auditions, though eventually her mom saw her daughter’s dedication and began to drive her.

At 16, Ferrera signed with a small talent agency and began auditioning for commercials and other projects. Her first big break came at seventeen when she was cast as one of a handful of Latina girls transformed from a group of shiftless teens into a championship dance troupe by a schoolteacher in the Disney Channel’s movie-of-the-week, “Gotta Kick It Up” (2002). On the strength of her performance, Ferrera landed the lead in “Real Women Have Curves,” playing a young Latina determined to go to college to pursue her writing dreams rather than stay with her close-knit family and work in a dressmaking factory.

The coming-of-age drama earned its share of good reviews and Ferrera was highlighted for her strong, charismatic performance. Ferrera soon transitioned to television, appearing as a high school student with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in “Touched By an Angel” (CBS, 1994-2003). She then landed the dreaded role of a pregnant teen forced out of her home in the Hallmark Hall of Fame production, “Plainsong” (CBS, 2004). Ferrera gave a strong performance as the introspective, but volatile Carmen who spends the summer with her absentee father.

Ferrera made a break with the feature world when she was asked to play the lead role on the one-hour drama “Ugly Betty” (ABC, 2006- ), an Americanized version of the popular Columbian telenovela “Yo Soy Betty Le Fea” (RCN, 1999-2001) that was brought to the states by actress Selma Hayek, who served as the show’s executive producer.

The classic fish-out-of-water tale centered on Betty Suarez (Ferrera), an awkward college graduate in oversized braces, red-rimmed glasses and bad outfits who dreams of one day running her own fashion magazine. Cheerful, intelligent and possessed of an inner beauty that allows her to survive the cutthroat fashion industry, Betty struggles to be herself in a superficial world while staying true to her Latino culture at home. Audiences clearly were clearly charmed by Ugly Betty’s inner beauty: Ferrera won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2007.

On September 16, 2007, Ferrera won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress – Comedy Series for her role of Betty Suarez on ABC’s Ugly Betty. In the summer of 2007, she wrapped filming on the sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Ferrera is the youngest of six siblings which include one brother and four sisters. She is currently dating Ryan Piers Williams. They first met while working on his student film at USC. Ferrera has repeatedly denied rumors that they are engaged.

Ferrera attends the University of Southern California, where she is majoring in International Relations; as of January 2007, she lacked only one semester’s coursework to earn her degree. She spent the autumn of 2004 studying in the American University Washington Semester Program and also attended New York University as a part of their Spring in New York program in the spring of 2006 while she was performing in Dog Sees God.

Blake Christina Lively (born August 25, 1987 in Tarzana, California) is an American actress. Best known for her roles in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Accepted and the book-based TV show Gossip Girl.

Blake Lively is the youngest of five children; her parents are actors Ernie and Elaine Lively. She has two sisters, Lori and Robyn, and two brothers, Jason and Eric. Both her parents and all four siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry. Her brother-in-law is Bart Johnson.

She attended Burbank High School in Burbank, and has participated in the National Show Choir. Blake is known for her tall 5′9″ frame and blonde hair.

She was very involved in school: she was class president, in a nationally competitive show choir, a cheerleader, in multiple AP classes, and six different clubs.

She comes from a family of actors. But she wasn’t interested in acting. She wanted to attend Stanford University. But the summer between her junior and senior year of high school, her brother made his agent send her out on a few auditions. Out of the two auditions she did, she got the role of Bridget for “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”

Lively started out in film with a bit role in Sandman in 1998. In 2005, Lively played Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, for which she received a Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice Movie Breakout – Female”. She will be reprising the role in 2008 in the sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, alongside co-stars Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn.

She starred in Accepted, Simon Says and Elvis and Anabelle in 2006. She also received the Breakthrough Award from Hollywood Life for her role in Accepted on December 10, 2006. In 2007, she was cast in the de facto lead role of Serena van der Woodsen in the new teen drama, Gossip Girl, co-starring alongside Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen and Penn Badgley.
